One of the key features of the Shimano baitrunner is its' secondary drag system, this maintains a controlled free-spool with the closed bail allowing fish to run with the bait. By flipping the lever or turning the handle, the primary drag quickly engages allowing you to strike once the fish has eaten the bait.
Additionally, this set is right at home throwing softbaits for hungry snapper in the wash or over the sand. Dartanium drag washers enables up to 7kg of silky smooth drag to be put on the reel and the 4.8:1 gear ratio allows for quick line retrieve.
