For the past six years, we’ve poured our energy, ideas and plenty of hard work into Harty’s Fishing & Hardware in the heart of Raglan.

As a locally owned, husband-and-wife business, we’re proud to have grown our range across fishing, hardware and gardening, including native coastal plants. Along the way, we’ve built strong relationships with locals, holidaymakers and fellow businesses—the people who make running Harty’s so rewarding.

Rich, known to many as “Fishy Rich”, brings a passion for fishing and practical knowledge, from choosing tackle to spooling reels and tying knots. Wendy brings her experience in business, customer service and presentation, with a constant eye for fresh ideas and ways to make the shop even better.

Together, we’ve expanded what we offer through mobile reel spooling, salt ice supply and local delivery. But what matters most is the trust we’ve built: familiar faces returning, visitors calling back whenever they’re in town, and customers recommending us to their friends.
