With a brand-new single piece aluminium Monocoque (MQ) body, the new Saltist MQ reel is now better equipped than ever to take on the rigours of New Zealand saltwater fishing and the hard fighting fish that call New Zealand home.
Arguably one of Daiwa’s most famous features, Magseal combines with the MQ body to make Saltist MQ one of the best-protected reels from the harsh environment Daiwa has ever produced. The single-piece Monocoque (MQ) body houses a larger diameter Tough Digigear transferring all of that power delivered through the handle to your line, ultimately stopping those fish in their tracks.
A tubular hollow Air Bail is also equipped on Saltist MQ, improving line management and line flow back into the line roller for unmatched performance with even the lightest braids in windy conditions.
All Saltist MQ models are now also equipped with the Aluminium Round Knob to offer the best grip and stability.
If you’re looking for a new saltwater spinning reel capable of standing up to the test, look no further than the brand new Saltist MQ.

Daiwa TD Black Bait Junkie:
The 21 TD BLACK range is the best yet, incorporating Daiwa’s Next Gen. X45 blank technology. Utilised in the bottom half of each rod blank, this increases torsional stiffness whilst reducing blank diameter and weight. The result of this is a rod that’s more responsive, casts further, and has increased sensitivity. As has become a staple of Daiwa rods in this price point, HVF Nanoplus graphite is used to make not only a lighter weight rod blank, but a much stronger blank as well.
The advancements don’t stop there. A new Air Sensor reel seat has been used which is 40% lighter than a traditional reel seat design and helps maintain a balanced overall setup when paired with a correctly matched reel. Fuji Alconite guides adorn the blank and provide anglers with trouble-free performance.
