Longer days are here, and so are our summer hours. From Monday 9 November, Harty’s Fishing & Hardware switches to summer hours in Raglan, so it is easier to grab bait, ice and hardware before an early start or after work.
Our summer hours in Raglan
- Monday to Friday: 7am to 5pm
- Saturday: 8am to 4pm
- Sunday: 9am to 3pm
- Public holidays: 9am to 3pm
The big change for weekend anglers and DIYers is Saturday, when we are now open through until 4pm. That gives you more time to pick up a forgotten fitting, top up the bait supply or have a yarn with the team about what is biting.
Plan your visit around the tide
Summer is the busiest time of year in Raglan. If you are heading out on the harbour or to the surf beach, stop in early for salt ice, frozen bait and berley, and get any reel spooling booked a few days ahead so your gear is ready when the weather lines up.
Shop online any time
Can’t make it in during opening hours? Our online shop is open around the clock with fishing rods and reels, tackle, garden supplies, tools and hardware. Ice, bait and berley stay in-store only. We will share any Christmas and New Year changes to our summer hours closer to the time, so keep an eye on our news page.

Why our summer hours change
Raglan gets busier as the weather warms, with more people on the water, in the garden and working on the bach. Opening earlier on weekdays means tradies and early-morning anglers can get what they need before the day gets going, and staying open later on Saturday gives everyone more time to get organised for the weekend. Our winter hours return in autumn, and we will post the change on our news page.
